Combined Camp 2014
Sunday, 30th May 2014
If you don't already know, I am a sucker for camps like, you don't know how happy camps make me feel. Ever since standard 5 up until now, there isn't a single year that I have not gone to camp, believe it! Sometimes those 3 short days just ain't enough. So last year, on the 28th until 30th of May 2014, me and some of my friends participated in the Scouts, Renjer & Pandu Puteri Combined Camp. This was right before our mid-year holiday began, and it was a good start!
I was super stoked!!!! Are you kidding, why wouldn't I be after I had my first taste of combined camp during Form 1, miss those days so much. Anyhow, this camp was brilliantly planned out by our ketua perkhemahan, Ann Chi from Renjer and Chin from Scouts. Round of applause for them! Since this happened like a YEAR ago there are basically some stuff I can't remember but I'll try to squeeze in those memories.
(en route to camp)
Lets get to Day 1!
It wasn't a very long drive, since it was in Seremban if I'm not mistaken? The journey was smooth, thank God. When we got there (ugh i wish i took pics of the place!!) we took group photos first ahah it was funny cause we wanted to take a pic at the sign where it says the name of the place like the ones at entrances, except the sign this time was located at a pretty steep hill, but not that high. We pretty much struggled to arrange our selves so everyone could fit. I don't know where those pictures are though, sigh. So then we carried our bags until we reached the hall. The campsite was really pretty cause it had like a kampung style to it. Left our bags outside, and gathered int the hall according to our groups. By the way, we got to know our group members way before camp started, and I was in Miley Cyrus! Haha, apparently all the groups were named after celebrities like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and even Rebecca Black. Basically before camp started we already discussed what each of us had to bring. Can't really recall but I think my group members were; Allyssa, Kai Xin, Syafiq, Ronald Lai, Hua Hsiang, Jessmyn and Ruben & Pei Qing were our group leaders.
In the hall, the AJK's introduced us to a game called 'Angel & Devil' (i think) and everyone had to pick out a random name and the name you get is the 'Devil' I suppose lol so you have to like give the person stuff without letting them know it's you for the whole 3 days and the person who gets your name will be your 'Angel' cause they will be the one giving you stuff. It's basically like secret santa :p I got Hussin's name! He's my senior fyi. I don't think I bought him anything on the first day though, I don't think anyone did cause everyone was so confused haha. Omg I don't really remember what were the next activites other than sorting out our tents. So yeah before building our own tents we were given a tutorial then had to do it on our own. Turns out, the tents we built weren't really our tents :') Haih, so we moved on the the next location where our real tents were and I only remember the girls' side though so I think the boys' side was the the first location.
This is the only picture I could find of the hall, and I stole it from facebook! Really regretting not taking picssss. Ok so moving on, I “think” after that we only started doing activities when it was dark? As in at night. And the only activity I could remember is (ugh I forgot what its called) I would say it’s the defense and attack game thing. There were two rounds ; the normal campers were supposed to attack first and the AJK’s were ont the defense team, then vice-versa. The defense’s team (I think?) mission was hide a certain object and catch anyone one of the attacking team and put them in jail while the attacking team needs to find the object while avoiding the defense team. This game was really fun cause the normal campers totally outnumbered the AJK’s, so we basically won. Or was it a tie? Cause they were still pretty good. When it was our turn to be put in jail, there were just so many of us so we just escaped without caring haha and the AJK’s didn’t even bother cause they knew there were outnumbered. T’was a really good game to end the night.
Day 2
Cant remember what we did first but it was
either station games or jungle trekking. It was probably station games cos I
think we went into the jungle in the afternoon. So we had quite a lot of
stations and the ones I deeply remember are the one by the lake and the
eating/drinking one. The game by the lake, a representative from each group had
to like bet each other how many cups they wanted to throw at each others
faces, then they had to play rock-paper-scissors to find out the winner. Lets
just say all of us got pretty wet at the end of the game but it was fun
nonetheless. Then the eating station. It was not just all good food though.
There were bittergourds, lemons and raw eggs!! Yeah we left those to the boys
hehe. I only ate like uncooked Maggi
lol. And we all drank Miranda soda.
Jungle trekking was next! Sadly Amiera didn’t
join because of her asthma. Man, jungle trekking always made me tired even
before starting. Cause the “trekking” is a never ending uphill walk and
sometimes you even have to crawl up x) But it was all worth it cause at the
end, a beautiful and refreshing waterfall was waiting for us. And it was so so
cold, the good kind of cold.
(please excuse the awesome quality)
After that all of us were so tired, I think we
got some time to rest and practise for our malam kebudayaaaaaaan. Lol im not
always pumped for malam kebudayaan but if you just go with it, it gets pretty
exciting. Here are some pics of us just lounging around in the hall :
(yas ameer yas)
(aiyo this gurl so preets)
(^missin’ this moment so much cos after that we practically
layed down and just listened to some good tunes)
Before we knew it, it was already nighttime! We did our last practise somewhere outside the hall, in front of the surau to be exact. Felt kinda guilty later cause we acted silly and a pakcik was watching us being disrespectful depan surau. Dahlah we were first in line! So nervous even though my role was just narrating. All of our sketches had to be about our group name so to summarise it, ours was about Miley losing her way, how she got crazy and started twerking ;p I'd say ours was pretty funny ahah. After that we really enjoyed the performances held by the other groups, they did a pretty good job at keeping us entertained. Some pictures from malam kebudayaan :
Here comes the best part : AJK's performance :'-)
You'd think it'd them singing or maybe even a funny sketch but trust me, what happened was waaaay beyond that.
So, they started their 'performance' by going outisde and shutting the lights so the hall was pitch black. The minute they barged in ; torch lights were flashed in our faces and they had bandanas with a japanese flag on it. They really caught us off guard lol. They immediately went full on japanese mode and yelled at us (kononnya it was the 1940s) cos they were ruling Tanah Melayu that time. So this were the rules of the games : we basically needed to protect ourselves from being seen by the "japs" aka the Ajk's. If we happen to come across them, they would ask who are the people with us and we'd have to give a really good reason why we're out late at night and if we're seen more than once, they'd take us for our punishment. It was a really intense game to the point where chasing was involved.
Before the game started, they gave us 10 minutes to go outside and hide. I think my group started by hiding under a house? It was those kampung-styled ones so you could practically stand beneath it. Of course at first everyone were in groups, but as the game went on most of us got separated alot cos the japs could really notice if we were in large groups. I hid behind bushes, under cars, behind balconies etc. My pants got so dirty from all the dirt! A few hours into the game I got caught and had to follow them and be punished (?) lol sounds so weird. Okay so my punishment was eating a bittergourd, bread with wassabi paste, and have cold water splashed on my face. And I think guys got a tougher one cos the "japs" would ask them to sembah Jepun or something and they refused (which was the right thing to do!) so they had to do push ups without their shirts? I can't really remember what excuse I gave to the japs but when I got back from camp, I heard this hilarious story from Ameer. He was walking with a few girls, Iman and Yasmin if I'm not mistaken. The Ajk's found them and asked who they where and where they were headed. Ameer answered ;
"Oh ni isteri I yang pertama and ni isteri kedua. Kita orang nak pergi melawat kubur isteri yang ketiga"
Is that not funny to you??!! LOL I bet the Ajk's were dying of laughter inside.
Moving on to OBH which stands for 'Operasi Burung Hantu.' OBH is a night walk all around the campsite that consists of only one source of light which is a frickin candle and it may involve Ajk's being a ghost trying to scare the living crap outta you!!! Boys had to go by pairs and girls by groups of four. We had to wait soooo long for our turn and also had to wait when we were finished. I went with Amiera and 2 other seniors. I cant recall who but I'm guessing one of them was Faiqa. Long story short, instead of walking trough the route everybody took, without noticing we took a shortcut and finished earlier than ever :> No, seriously you have no idea how short our walk was, we practically just walked in a big circle and by the end of that circle we were back at the hall. But we definitely did not miss the climax which was our senior being a ghost and screaming in a toilet with bloody walls :-)
We went back to the hall and people were still waiting for their turns but everyone was just tired so we..
(allyssa pls stop)
(meet the aftermath of miley cyrus everybody)

(I'm the one wearin' the baby blue pants on the right)
When it was like 3 or 4 in the morning, we were finally done. The Ajk's asked us to go back to our tents and continue sleeping but it was just oh so hot. So like 98% of the muslims opted for the surau! Hehe it looked pretty much like the picture above. Was totally much more cooler than being in a humid tent. Since it was the surau, we could do our prayers straight away lol.
Day 3
Started the day with a treasure hunt! Happy to say our group managed to finish quite early due to our awesome teamwork. It honestly involved alot of places but all I could remember was solving the puzzle game in the hall and pushing down the other teams while standing on one leg. I totally aced that. Oh and did I mention we had to guard an egg the whole time? Every team had to and I think ours eventually cracked towards the end.
Then it was the closing ceremony! We had to change into our pandu/renjer and pengakap uniforms. It also took us awhile cos we also had to start packing and bring all our luggage out. I remembered that me and Kai Xin were so lazy that we changed our clothes in the hall when no one was there, of course we made sure to close all the curtains.
I cant remember if they announced the winning teams first or the 'angel & devil' game. Anyways, I got Husin and Raja got me! Hah I gave Husin like an air tin and an ice cream I think?? And Raja got me Lemon Green Tea and Solero?? Cannot remember. It was fun finding out who go who! And the overall winning team was Amiera's group and I think Eimir was the leader. And their egg did not break till the end!! Our group did win something but I can't recall what..
(the winning team)
(haih aren't these two the cutest??)
Thanks to them, (and ajk's) it was an amazing camp! <3
On our way home, bus decided to stop working..
p.s. Really sorry for some of the bad quality pics. That's because I cropped it from a collage (creds to Ron) and I have no idea why they didn't post them on facebook. I literally stalked everyones profile for the sake of it. Actually stole them from here :
Oh well, until my next camp tale! xx

New Year Resolutions
1. To be a better muslim, obv.
2. Start excersing! I think I've been taking my weight for granted because it used to maintain for a looong time so I thought it wouldn't hurt to eat just a lil' more but NO.
3. Eating clean, oh this I've always wanted to do but never had the guts to! Eating clean means eating more of the healthy foods while cutting down on the non-healthy ones. But the healthy ones are mostly veggies, and I can'tstand them. I'll still try my best though.
4.#RoadToSPM hence, studying more. Yes, I most definitely must and will study more, insyaAllah! I seriously need to prioritise the things that will be happening and just make sure I never study last minute.
5. Love things at a certain amount. Most of the people in my life don't know this about me but when I start to like/love things, I love hard. I just have a tendency to go hardcore when there's something that I'm addicted to so much. Like obsessed. I just can't help it. And last year, my addiction was K-fever. K-dramas and K-pop is included. I was obsessed til the point that whatsapp messages were ignored, people were not acknowledged and it was very unhealthy. (But i enjoyed all the stuff i watched tho T.T) Anyway, I've started to cool down now, phew so I'm hoping this year instead of wasting my time infront of the screen, I'll go do something more important lol.
6. Give back to my parents. They have seriously done a lot for me and I hope this will be the year i start giving back to them.
7. Participate as much as u can in school. I mean, this will be the last year, might as well make the most of it right?
And drag yo friends' butts too!
8. Menabung, haha. I'm serious though, saving money is so important. Last year, i managed to save about rm1000 in less than 2 months. I don't know about you, but its a pretty big achievement for me. And I realised how important it was to save money too late. So yeah, less spending!
9. Read more. Be it school books or novels, just frickin read! I used to be such a book worm in my early teens but now I just feel like my phone is more fun. Btw, I know I'm not the only one who still haven't read all their books they bought from Big Bad Wolf right? :P
10. Most definitely love yourself. Just stop caring about the way you look in the mirror ( yes i tend to look at mirrors everytime i see one just incase i have chili in my gigi ) and just let yourself be. And just accept the fact that you're pelat and talk weird. Pfft, I wish.
11. Be more thankful and I'm not saying that I'm not now. I just wanna keep a reminder to be grateful everyday to God.
12. Be more spontaneous? Haha I just think being natural makes the people arpund me laugh more and I love makigg people laugh, like finally, I'm funny guys.
13. Stick to your friends, who truly wants to stick with you and block all the negativity around you. Cherish those times with your friends and just do crazy stuff with them.
Ok I'm done! Lol thats one long list. Haha I just hope I finish that list.
Happy 2k16 ;)

Day 365/365
As you can see in the title, its the 31st of December already! Seriously, where did all the time go. Anyways, I literally just got back from my two week-trip to London and before that I joined a home stay programme in japan, which i will blog about later. The holidays this year really had me occupied and i'm not complaining. Alhamdulillah, i have been really blessed this year because I got to travel to so many places in a year! I went to like 5 different countries this year (altho one was a transit, lol but still) and in all those trips I've made wonderful memories that i will never ever forget.
And now, only four more days until school starts and all i can say is this :
growing up, ew. form 5, ew.
I seriously cannot believe its gonna be our last year in high school. Not to mention spm!
Wow, i really want a time machine so i could just go back and re-live all those awesome moments.
Its gonna be the last year to be seeing all my friends almost everyday, last year of going to after school activities with friends (or skipping them together), last year of having fun eating each others food and exchanging stories during recess and basically the last year of being a high school student.
This year has totally had its ups and downs for me but i was also glad that what happened, happened cause ya learn from your mistakes, right? And the amount of birthday surprises and hangouts i went to this year was totally worth it. Not forgetting all the new friends I've made during the home stay in japan, you guys da coolest <3
I'm so grateful to everyone who made my 2015 such an unbelievably great year and now another year awaits. Thanks 2015, i really appreciate you.

Remember November
It's November?? Already??? How did it happen so fast??
Ok ok time has got to slow down.
So the day before yesterday(Friday), was considered the last official day of school, before our finals of course. And also 'cause our finals kinda ends when school closes, so yeah. But for my seniors, the 98's, its REALLY the last day. NoooOOoooO!!! Not ready to be a senior just yet :/ Tomorrow is one of the biggest days of their lives, so all the best to you people(although i doubt you will see this) !!! You've came to high school for five whole years and it all goes down to this. Going to miss seeing all my seniors and how hilarious they are.
There also goes my form 4 life. I have had so many roller coaster rides this year, some I enjoyed and some I learnt a lot from. (In case you didn't get that it was a metaphor okay) I will definitely miss being in form 4 despite all the bad things because there were also the unforgettable good memories.
Again, good luck to all the 98's taking SPM this year! One last step before entering adulthood huhu.
Take a deep breath and ace those papers xx

How Long Has It Been
Hey thurr, haha. How long has it been? Long, apparently. Well, the whole time I wasn't blogging, I was actually enjoying myself and living my life. Countless of incredible things happened, and some downsides occurred too. All I can say is, the bad stuff stays in the past and the good times stay as precious memories never to be forgotten. How cheesy, hehe.
But in all seriousness though, there are so many things that needs to be updated here. Hence, the new blog makeover. And phew, it was HARD okay. Searched so many different websites, looked through various kinds of blogs. Lets just day it took a day to finally achieve the result I wanted. To be more precise, I did it all of that by myself. Pretty proud of myself *pats self on the back*
Anyways, what I wanted to say was all my blog posts after this will be a looooong list of posts that I should've posted a long time ago or also some stuff that happened recently, but mainly a long time ago. So basically it'll be like a catching up sesh. Stay tuned!
Here's a throwback pic of me and the boyrfriend!
